Belvoir castle, Leicestershire

An impressive castle with beautiful grounds - the kids will love hunting out Belvoir bear on a tour round the castle or getting involved in the children's quiz. The castle is closed on all Fridays throughout May and on Saturday 7th June.

Manor Farm Animal Centre & Donkey Sanctuary, Loughborough

The farm has nearly 100 acres with meadow of wild flowers, a small lake, a nature trail and childrens' adventure play areas and also is home to many animals in need of looking after.

Rosliston Forestry Centre, Swadlincote, Derbyshire


In the middle of the National Forest, this centre is brilliant for playing, walking and cycling. There's a huge outdoor adventure playground with play areas suitable for all ages. Take a picnic or a some ball games - there's even a sand pit so you can pretend you're at the beach!

Snibston Discovery Park, Coalville, Leicestershire


Snibston is a science and industry museum. There's lots of interactive and hands on displays inside, making it one of the best in the Midlands.
