What to do with the kids if the weather's bad

Mum Knows Best

  1. I had nowhere to keep my daughter's sand-pit toys so I washed out my old kitchen bin and keep the toys in there. If it rains, I put the lid on to keep the toys try

  2. During really hot weather, I keep a pack of disposable wipes in the fridge. I use these to wipe my grandchildren's hands and face when it's really hot. Also, you can put some in your cool bag when you go for a day out.

It's raining and the kids are bored, fed up and unhappy. So how do you keep your children happy and entertained?

We all know that the weather in the UK is impossible to predict, so doing stuff as a family outside can be tricky to plan.

So, if you're stuck inside with the kids, let us help you find some great wet weather family activities and keep everyone happy...

- 1. Play a game
- 2. Make a scrapbook
- 3. Bake a cake
- 4. Visit a museum or gallery
- 5. Go swimming
- 6. Have a movie afternoon
- 7. Hunt for treasure
- 8. Go for a walk
- 9. Do some painting
- 10. Dress up

Baking is big favourite with my kids when the weather is bad! Will try the scrapbook idea as well. Something my kids enjoyed doing whilst we have been snowed in, was surfing the web and entering Childrens competitions. Never know we might win something!

it didn't really help a lot. I am 11 and i am waiting for my friend to come round she is late and I am bored and the rain is keeping me from playing on my trampoline. What to do, what to do.... It helped a little though; I might ask her if she wants to make cookies later.... Thanks Tillie x
