Most families have a set of traditions that they follow every Christmas, whether that's opening a present from the tree on Christmas Eve or playing silly party games on Christmas Day.

We want to know what you'll be doing with your family this Christmas. What are your Christmas traditions? Maybe you'll be making new traditions because you've just had a baby. Email us at goodtoknow@ipcmedia.com to tell us what you're up to.

'We all have a "Christmas tree present" at the end of the Christmas Day - it's something from Santa (naturally) and is always something a bit silly.

'When we take the decorations down after Christmas my step-dad likes to wrap the Christmas tree lights around the Xmas Radio Times so that when he gets them out next year he can reminisce (sad, but true).'

'When I was little, as soon as I woke up I would open my stocking and it'd be full of little bits and bobs from Santa. But we were always told we couldn't wake up before 7am.

'We have a big fry-up on Christmas morning and then we open the larger presents under the tree.

'On Boxing Day we go to my step-dad's house and have indoor fireworks and he sets fire to the Christmas pudding - but not all at the same time!'

Jolene
'Me and my Mum make homemade Christmas crackers and put a good, little present in each person's. It's a nice surprise and makes the presents last a bit longer! Mind you, it can result in a nice pair of earrings ending up in your gravy.'

Louise
'The 25th was the day we celebrated and we didn't really do much on Christmas Eve. Even if we got up early, we had to wait for Mum and Dad and have breakfast together - it was the fastest meal we ever ate! After breakfast we'd put on our special Christmas outfit (which we always hated!), then we'd be allowed to go into the front room, where the tree and the presents were, and open our gifts.'
