goodtoknow's Food and Diets Editor Anna is pregnant, so we've asked her to keep a diary of her pregnancy, telling you all the good bits and bad bits and asking for your help and comments.

Join her 9-month journey, follow her highs and lows and share your own tips, stories and advice...

Just before Christmas I dragged my friend Amy into an office at work and forced her to look at a pale pink line on a pregnancy test in case my eyes had just imagined it was there. This was followed by a digital test in Asda supermarket toilets (I was so excited I couldn't make it home). Since then I've had a couple of scans, one at 7 weeks, one at almost 13 weeks and it's official. I am pregnant.

And so I'm going to begin writing a diary on this pregnancy, basically because I need your help. This is my first baby and I haven't got a clue what I'm doing.

I don't know what's normal and what's weird and as many of you are wise mothers I need to pick your brains and I'd love it if you'd share your experiences with me!

So here's a bit of background. Unluckily for me this wasn't one of those 'my husband only has to look at me and I'm pregnant' events. In fact it took quite some time and we had to have a load of fertility tests and procedures to make sure that everything was working as it should. It was and still no baby.

And so, two years later, on Christmas Eve, I was pretty surprised when I saw that pink line appear. I'd thought it was impossible. The hardest thing I'd ever tried to do. I was thrilled.

I'd love to hear your stories of when you found out you were pregnant. Either leave a comment at the bottom or send me a message
