You are now 10 weeks pregnant or in your 11th week if that's how you're counting it
How is my baby growing?
This is a time of fast growth for your baby, who is now 4.5cm long and weighs about 5g.
Your baby's head is roughly half the length of the entire body - simply because the head and brain grow more quickly than the rest of the body in the early weeks.
How are you feeling?
You may begin to have trouble sleeping around this time, as a combination of different complaints begin to interfere with your sleep.
Heartburn, frequent weeing and vivid or disturbing dreams are common problems.
Try to adjust your evening routine to give yourself time to unwind, avoid heavy meals or spicy foods before bed, and prop yourself up with an extra pillow to ease heartburn.
Top tips
Your midwife may refer you for a dating scan around this time, particularly if you can't remember the date of your last period.
In the first 12 weeks, all embryos develop at the same rate, so your pregnancy can be accurately dated by measuring your baby's length.
