You are now 14 weeks pregnant or in your 15th week if that's how you're counting it
How is my baby growing?
Your baby has had a growth spurt this week and is now about 9cm long and weighs about 2oz/60g.
The body is now growing at a faster rate than the head and the skin is covered with lanugo - downy hair that usually disappears before birth. Hair and eyebrows are also beginning to grow and your baby may even be able to suck its thumb.
How are you feeling?
Most women find that this is the best part of pregnancy, as the nausea and tiredness of the first few weeks has passed but your bump isn't yet big enough to affect your movement or sleeping habits.
Top tips
The average woman can expect to gain 2 stone during pregnancy. Although you should never diet when you're pregnant, you really don't need to eat for two, so try to keep an eye on your weight gain.
During the first 20 weeks you don't need to eat any more than usual (aim for around 2000-2200 calories per day) and you only need 200 more calories per day for the second 20 weeks.
