You are now 16 weeks pregnant or in your 17th week if that's how you're counting it
How is my baby growing?
Your baby is 16cm long and weighs 5oz (the size of an avocado).
Its legs are now longer than its arms and the baby moves them about all the time and even grabs onto the umbilical cord. Its finger and toenails are growing, the eyes are developing and its even beginning to blink.
How are you feeling?
If you've finally stopped feeling sick you may be really hungry. But be careful because your body doesn't need any extra calories yet, so keep snacks healthy and nutritious.
If you've been advised to have an amniocentesis (a test to check for severe abnormalities) it should happen anytime now.
Results take around three weeks, but if you can't wait that long you can go private (it'll cost around £135) and you get the results in three days. Go to arc-uk.org or amniopr.com for more information.
Top tips
You may be able to get free vitamins and vouchers towards fresh fruit, milk and veg from the Healthy Start scheme. Get an application form from your GP or go to healthystart.co.uk.
Make sure you're getting plenty Vitamin C in your diet, it can help prevent blocked noses and nosebleeds which are common at this stage of pregnancy.
