You are now 28 weeks pregnant or in your 29th week if that's how you're counting it
How is your baby growing?
Your baby now weighs about 2lbs and is growing rapidly, laying down fat for energy in preparation for labour.
The baby will react to your touch when you stroke your tummy. The lungs are developing and capable of breathing air, but would need help breathing if born now.
The muscles are developing too and baby boys' testes are starting to drop into the scrotum.
How are you feeling?
You'll be around 7-10kg heavier than normal.
Your antenatal checks will probably go up to every 2 weeks now and you may be offered a glucose screen and blood test for anaemia.
They'll also feel your tummy to check the baby's development and listen to its heart.
Top tips
If you haven't got a birth plan already, start putting one together.
Things you'll need to think about include who you want there, what pain relief you'd like, how soon you want to go home afterwards and do you want the baby put straight on the breast.
