You are now 38 weeks pregnant or in your 39th week if that's how you're counting it
How is your baby growing?
Your baby now measures 48cm and weighs about 6lbs 8oz.
All its body systems are developed. The head and abdomen are about the same size now and your midwife will have a good idea of how big the baby will be at birth.
How are you feeling?
It's time to chill a bit now. Look after yourself in this precious 'me time' you have left. Try some deep breathing exercises in preparation for the birth and make sure you're eating well and drinking lots too.
Top tips
If you have other children, reassure them about who they'll be looked after by when you're having the new baby.
They'll be excited too, so be careful they don't feel left out. Ask them to help you get the baby's bed ready or let them choose a gift for them.
