You are now 41 weeks pregnant or in your 42nd week if that's how you're counting it
It's not unusual for pregnancies to continue to 42 or 43 weeks so don't worry too much. 95 percent of babies are born either in the 2 weeks before or after their due date, so you're not alone.
You're bound to feel a bit let down, and be sick of people asking you if you've had your baby yet, but try to stay optimistic. Remember, you'll be meeting your son or daughter very soon.
If by 42 weeks your baby still doesn't want to make her entrance, you'll probably be recommended to have an induction to trigger labour.
Between 40 and 42 weeks you and your baby will be closely monitored by your healthcare team to check that you're both doing OK, so you'll be in good hands. So get the knitting needles out, put your feet up and catch up on daytime TV!
