Single parent's guide: Going on holiday
Just because you're going it alone doesn't mean you're not entitled to a break with the kids. And there are companies out there that provide special holidays and days out for single parents. Here are just a few...
Single Parent Travel Club: For £10 a year, the SPTC puts you in touch with other single parents who want to go away and are looking for company. It doesn't just cover weeks away - you could find someone just to go on a day out with.
Eurocamp: Well-known for its camping holidays over the Channel, Eurocamp offers help for lone parents, including discounts for travelling alone, as well as their special Arrival Survival, giving single parents a helping hand when they first arrive on site.
Mango: Run by two single parents, Mango runs group holidays for parents travelling solo and always have a co-ordinator travelling with you to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Singlewithkids: The largest provider of breaks and holidays for single parents in the UK and they specialise in getting away without breaking the budget.
