Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers - with over 44,000 cases diagnosed in the UK every year.

The good news is that treatments are always improving and the majority of women diagnosed with breast cancer still live a long life.

Knowing the facts and being able to spot the signs of breast cancer could save your life.

The signs and symptoms

The most well-known symptom of breast cancer is a painless lump in the breast - other symptoms include the size or shape of the breast changing and dimpling or thickening of the skin on the breast. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for video info on how to check your breasts for lumps.
