When you need a quick fix between meals, it’s easy to grab a snack that is fatty or high in added sugar. But eating too many foods that are high in added sugar and fat can be unhealthy for your family as it can lead to weight gain, which can cause future health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer. Getting kids active for 60 minutes a day and making small changes, like swapping snacks that are fatty or high in added sugar for healthier options, can make a big difference.
