Kate Middleton and Prince William have just added a brand new member to their family trees, with the arrival of little baby Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.
Wills' wife, Kate isn't blue-blooded like him and actually has working-class roots, giving us all hope that we really could meet our own Prince Charming one day too!
As the first 'commoner' to marry a British future King in 350 years (the last was James II's mistress Anne Hyde) we thought we'd look at the how different Kate and William's ancestors really are...
Kate's paternal great-great-great grandfather may not have been a royal but he was certainly successful. Mill owner Frank Lupton was a father of five and lived in a Victorian mansion outside Leeds. He set up the family trust which put Kate through Marlborough College and died of heart disease 22 years later, leaving £64,500 in his will - this would have been around £32.6 million today!
Her maternal great-great-great grandmother Jane Liddle wasn't so fortunate. She married a miner and lived in poverty in the North East.
William's great-great-great grandparents were Edward VII, who was the son of Queen Victoria, and Princess Alexandra.
Kate and William's ancestors couldn't be more different. Her great-great grandfather John Harrison was a miner and lived in the village of Hetton-Le-Hole in Tyne and Wear with his wife Jane. William's great-great grandparents were George V and Queen Mary.
Wills' great-grandfather was the Duke of York who later went on to become George VI in 1936 and was married to the Queen Mother. He served in the Royal Navy while Kate's great-grandfather Charlie Goldsmith served in the Royal Fusiliers and earned just one shilling a day.
Kate's great-grandmother Edith Goldsmith was a mother of six and became a widow when Charlie dies of asthma and bronchitis. After he died Edith was forced to live in a flat in Southall, West London.
William's grandmother the Queen is arguably the most famous woman on earth and his grandfather is Prince Philip. Kate's maternal grandparents Ronald and Dorothy Goldsmith took advantage of the property boom to give their children a better life.
Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton run a mail order party business, which has made them millionaires. William's parents are Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.
Diana gave birth to William on 21 June 1982 in St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London five months after Carole had given birth to Kate on 9 January 1982 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
