It looks like the huge success of the London Olympics 2012 really did inspire a generation, according to the top baby names of 2012!
Jessica features in the top 10 baby names of the year, no doubt prompted by Jessica Ennis's amazing performance in the heptathlon. As for the boys, Chris was a popular choice, after the nation watched fellow Olympian Chris Hoy speed to victory, but it didn't quite make the top 10.
The top choice for baby boys was Harry, surely influenced by the great year the royal family had in 2012. We reckon expectant mothers were inspired by cheeky chappie, Prince Harry.
