'Teenie two wants to be hench'

Mark Wright topless

Karen is a mum of mixed sex, 14-year-old twins and certainly knows it. Each week she shares with us what her terrible two have been up to.

'Teenie two wants to be 'hench'. I'm not entirely sure what this means but I think it has something to do with 'guns' and '6-packs'. He works out, 2, sometimes 3 times a week, down at our local gym and recently told me that he needs protein shakes.

'No', I answered, 'You need to eat properly. There's milk in the fridge, cereal in the cupboard and a bowl full of fruit on the table.'

Now I am all in favour of him keeping fit but I do worry that his motivation isn't entirely healthy.

It seems to me that boys these days all want bodies like Mark Wright and judge each other's physiques in a way that used to be saved for the girls' locker room. Give it 10 years and I guarantee we'll see eating disorders and steroid abuse in young men sky rocket.

And it's already happening. There's one young lad I work with with muscles like Popeye who recently went off work with an abscess in his arm. No prizes for guessing why. So while I encourage Teenie two to exercise, rest assured I will be keeping a very close eye on him.

There ain't nothing wrong with looking good and keeping fit, 14 years of age is not too young to keep fit, although at that age there is no point in lifting. And eating good, cereal? milk? This women doesn't know what she is on about, they are junk foods, might as well go buy them some donuts.
