'Three weeks of cricket matches finally took their toll on Teenie two in the most unexpected and dramatic fashion.

He'd been moaning for a few days of discomfort in his trouser department which we put down to the fact that his batting pants were too tight. When he came home from a day at the crease walking like John Wayne and in clear discomfort I rang our GP who said to bring him in straight away.

Now my son is definitely no naturist. Since puberty set in you are more likely to catch a glimpse of Lord Lucan than catch him in the buff. So getting him to an appointment with a lady doctor who wanted him to drop his drawers was no mean feat.
One look at his swollen nether regions and my son was dispatched straight to casualty with a suspected torsion of the testis.

He was greeted virtually at the door and swept through to the senior urologist, scanned, prodded, probed and eventually diagnosed with an infection. It seems that too much time playing sport without drinking enough and holding in his wee, had resulted in a urine infection which had spread downwards.

Several days of antibiotics later and he's thankfully on the mend. He's also lost all inhibitions and will gladly let the world have a gander at his goolies - just so long as it's not his mother.'
