Robbie Williams has just become a daddy, after his wife, Ayda Field, gave birth to a baby girl named Theodora Rose Williams, on Tuesday 18th September 2012.
The proud new dad announced his baby girl's arrival on Twitter and posted on his blog: 'Praise be, it's Theodora Rose Williams, affectionately known as Teddy... Born 3.33pm on 18.9.12, 7lbs 4oz... Baby, mummy and daddy are all rockin... Thank you for your best wishes.'
The star has received messages of congratulations from his fans, celebrities and his Take That bandmates on Twitter. Gary Barlow tweeted: 'Massive congrats Rob and Ayda. So happy for you.'
Robbie must have been relieved to have made the birth of his first child, after earlier admitting to Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, that his busy concert schedule clashed with his pregnant wife, Ayda's due date. The 38-year-old said: 'I had a bit of a falling out with the wife... the wife has said, "if I go into labour and you've got a gig in say Leeds or Dublin, you've got to cancel it and come home."'
On the name of their new arrival, Robbie said he and his wife tried to go for a more traditional, 'old-school' name, joking: 'As a celebrity we're supposed to call them Aubergine or something like that, aren't we?'
We bet Teddy is going to be super cute, we can't wait to see pictures of her!
Where to next?
