Free family tennis lessons coming to you this summer

This summer, tennis clubs up and down the country are opening their doors for absolutely free.

The Lawn Tennis Association, who are the governing body for tennis in the UK, are hosting the events, which will run over four weekends and welcome absolutely anyone, of all ages and abilities.

So whether it's teens wanting to learn to play like their favourite tennis stars to granny and grandad looking for somewhere to take the little ones for the day, tennis will make the perfect family day out, especially in the run-up to Wimbledon on 23 June 2014.

The events, called the Great British Tennis Weekend, will be held on the following dates:


- 17 - 18 May

- 21 - 22 June

- 28 - 29 June

- 19 - 20 July


Clubs will be offering free tennis and coaching sessions and many are also hosting fun competitions, games and even BBQs. All you need to do is find your local venue and book your free session.
