Fireworks London 2016
England's glorious capital is where gunpowder, treason and plot first began all those years ago, so where better to enjoy Bonfire Night than on the streets of London? We've rounded up the best of the shows the city has to offer in 2017.

Take the kids down to your local park or enjoy one of central London's big displays, the choice is yours. Whatever you decide it's sure to be a great night with big crowds, warm drinks and plenty of family fun.

The Lord Mayor's Fireworks, Victoria Embankment

This is one of London's most spectacular annual displays and you'll be able to see the fireworks for miles, but for the best view of all head down to the riverside between Waterloo and Blackfriars Bridges, either on Victoria Embankment or on the South Bank. All the roads and both bridges will be closed to traffic so there's plenty of room.
When? Saturday 11th November, 5.15pm

Fireworks: south London 2017

Battersea Park

What could be more atmospheric than watching a beautiful fireworks display on the banks of the Thames? Feast on wintery treats and enjoy the hues and pinks and purples reflected on the water! This year's epic 22 minute display has been given the theme 'Power' so expect exciting things from the award-winning pyro-technician team. Despite the 50,000 capacity, tickets are expect to sell out fast, so don't forget to get yours in advance.
When? Saturday 4th November, gates open at 6pm and last entry at 8pm
Where? Battersea, London, SW11 4NJ

How much? £7-£10 but must be bought online before! Children under 10 go free - but you'll need to order a 'free ticket' for them prior to the event too

Blackheath fireworks 2017

Trek up the hill to the heath and see the skies lit up by the spellbounding Blackheath fireworks. The display is one of the biggest free community events in the capital and attracts up to 100,000 people each year, and as always, this year it promises to be a fun evening of entertainment with a funfair from 12 noon, bar and food (and other stalls) from 5pm and the main display which starts at 8pm.

Crystal Palace Fireworks

Two displays, starting with a children's display of colourful fireworks and fewer bangs early at 7pm, followed by a main display set to music - at 8.30pm. There will be a variety of food and drink stalls available. Note, there's no parking, but the area is well served by public transport.

More than just a fireworks show: Alexandra Palace fireworks festival

This mesmerising spectacle, stretching over two days, combines fireworks, lasers and music for a truly unique fireworks experience. There really is something for everyone at this event - little ones can enjoy a winter festival with carousels, helter skelter and even an ice rink, while grown-ups can sample The German Bier Festival, featuring traditional products, Bavarian foods and wonderful music.
Artists curating the music this year include Jazzie B on Friday night, and DJ Yoda on the Saturday. When? Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th November, gates from 3pm, fireworks at 8pm

Harrow fireworks display

A fun family show that starts around 7.30pm, the Harrow fireworks display is popular with locals and visitors alike. New for 2017 will be a trade stands and stalls tent, full of local businesses and craft sellers - because it's never too early to think about Christmas shopping. When? Saturday 4th November, gates at 12pm, fireworks 7.30pm

How much? Free before 4pm or adults £5 if you buy tickets online before or £10 on the gate, and children from £3 if you purchase the ticket in advance or £5 on the gate

Waltham Forest Fireworks

Enjoy fireworks, warm drinks and an array of food stalls in Chestnuts Field which is infamous for it's exciting display that attracts around 20,000 people every year.
When? Sunday 5th November, gates from 6.30pm, fireworks at 8pm

Bishop's Park Fireworks

This bonfire event is perfect for families due to its alcohol-free nature and entertaining fun fair.
This year's show is Shakespeare themed. When? Friday 4th November, 6-9.30pm

Richmond athletic ground

Every year Richmond Athletic Association stages a spectacular evening of family fun with a choreographed fireworks display by multi award-winning Phoenix Fireworks. This year the display theme is ‘80s Music Night' with fireworks set to iconic tracks from those glorious years. There will also be live entertainment prior to the fireworks spectacle as well as funfair rides, mulled wine, hot food, candy floss and popcorn stalls and an after-party in the Members Bar. When? Sunday 5th November, gates open at 4.30pm, fireworks at 7pm sharp
