Ever been to check on your sleeping bundle of joy, to discover them happily crawling around on the floor with their toys with no signs as to how or when they escaped from their cot?
Have you felt as though behind that chubby exterior there's a highly-trained escapologist who could slip through the smallest of spaces unnoticed? Us too.
We've spotted a video which captures one of the greatest escape acts we've ever seen. It is performed, not by The Great Houdini, not by the men of The Great Escape, but by a baby, who cannot be more than 18 months old.
At last we know how those mischevious little beings are escaping from their cots - and it's absolutely ingenius.
The little sprite is first seen carefully moving their blanket out of the way so it doesn't interfere with their cot manoeuvre.
The baby then slips their back legs out of the rear of the cot, and
starts side stepping along the carpet, gradually moving the cot across
When the cot meets the bed on the other side of the room, baby simply reaches over the top of the bars, and with true showmanship gently dives from the cot and lands softly on the bed beyond.
You've got to see it to believe it!
So at last we know how those cheeky little things are doing it! One thing you can be sure of is that once they've done it, they won't forget it!
