Lexi Sinclair was happily dressing her baby ready for a dip in her local pool, enjoying being a mother to her new born son when a complete stranger approached her.
According to Lexi's post, which has since gone viral, the woman in her mid 50s struck up conversation with the new mum, asking her about her son Christian's sleeping habits, and appeared to generally be wishing the new mum and her baby well. That was until the conversation took a sour turn and the woman began to insult Lexi's body and her choice to wear a bikini.
The woman pointed out that Lexi was 'still recovering' from her recent birth and that 'a bikini isn't appropriate for a mother' as 'men in the pool would feel more comfortable' if she was in a one-piece.
Although outraged and hurt, Lexi mustered an empowering comeback. She calmly told the woman all of the wonderful things that her body has done for her son and how proud she was to be able to be a mother.
Lexi shared her response on a Facebook post where she gave an account of the entire conversation saying, 'I've grown a human and given birth to a beautiful miracle. My body provided food for my child. So, no, my body might not be the best sight for other men to see. My stretch marks and tummy pudge might not be sexy. But they're proof that I've done something amazing and I have a man that loves me and finds me even sexier and more beautiful now'.
Her post, which currently has 23,000 shares and hundreds of likes, has been attracting messages of love and support from women all over the world. One Facebook user commented: 'We literally have done the most amazing thing. We brought innocent life into the world' as another added, 'Your beautiful ive been working my ass off for a year to get back to my old body because im embarrased but stuff like this makes me have a little more courage to be able to wear my cute two piece bathing suit'.
Lexi finished by telling the woman that 'to be honest, I don't give a tiny rats ass what other men, or a prissy twit like you think. Have a nice day though'.
