DJ Annie Mac reveals second pregnancy in a low-key Twitter announcement
The radio DJ broke the news on social media
Lovely news for Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac - she's expecting her second child!
As pregnancy announcements go, Annie's was one of the lowest-key celebrity shares we've ever seen, as she confirmed the news in a retweet about Bestival, a four day music festival held on the Isle of Wight at the beginning of September.
'It's the first time I will ever miss it. I am very sad. Cutting down on gigs because I'm pregnant X', Annie wrote to her 719,000 Twitter followers.
The presenter, whose real name is Annie MacManus, is already mum to one son, born in May 2013, with her partner, fellow BBC Radio 1 DJ Toddla T. They announced the birth in a similarly casual manner, taking to Twitter to say, 'Myself and @TODDLAT very special delivery arrived into the world this morning at 11.12am. It's a boy.'
Annie hasn't yet revealed whether she knows the sex of the new arrival, although she did hint at the due date of her second-born in a recent Instagram post.
'It's all about the XL tees from here until January', she captioned the picture, which showed her concealing her bump in an oversized tee.
Writing for the Telegraph in 2014 after the arrival of her son, Annie said that becoming a mum didn't stop her from going out dancing, but she had 'thrown away all of her bodycon'.

'I can’t say life hasn’t changed since having our baby, but what it’s mainly done is make Tom and I more organised as people. We still have all the fun we always had in terms of going out, but we have had to lose the spontaneity and make sure we plan well in advance,' she said.
'Tom is very hands on – so we share the load 50:50 and always give the other a chance to feel like we have our own thing going on outside the family.'
'However, I did have a situation last year when I was pregnant in which I went through my wardrobe and threw out all the bodycon clothes – it was finally time to accept that they had to go.'
