Along with her sweet snap she wrote an equally lovely message telling friends and fans how excited the family is to welcome a fourth child, complete with lots of baby and heart emojis.

Alex, 34, wrote, 'We are all very excited for our new baby to arrive next year !! number 4'.

Fans were delighted for her, commenting back to her tweet with messages such as, 'OMG what amazing news to wake up to !!! @AlexGerrard7 is pregnant with baby number 4 congratulations!!! Xxx' and 'amazing news!! Very many congratulations 😘🍼💗💙'.

Steven who is known for playing football for Liverpool and England, tied the knot with Alex back in 2007, after five years of dating.

They married in a beautiful ceremony in Buckinghamshire with a traditional feel. Alex looked stunning in a princess-style dress and opted for a glamorous look, with glitz decorating her gown.

The happy couple are already parents to three daughters, Lilly-Ella, 12, Lexie, 10 and Lourdes, four.

Back in 2013, Alex commented on not wanting to expand her family, claiming that the thought of any more children 'scares' her. She said, 'Not at the moment. Lourdes is getting more independent now, so the thought of another scares me.'

'It's finally getting easier and I'm not ready to go back to the bottles and sleepless nights just yet!'

Clearly she's changed her mind since then and sounds absolutely delighted to have a fourth baby on the way. Congratulations!
