Fans express concern over pregnant Binky Felstead's workout regime

'It's dangerous for baby'

Fans have expressed worries over Binky Felstead's pregnancy exercise

regime after she posted a video of herself working out to her Instagram account.

Made in Chelsea star Binky, real name Alexandra, recently announced that she was expecting her first child with co-star Josh 'JP' Patterson, and shared a short clip of herself in the gym to declare her intention to keep fit throughout her pregnancy.

'Soooooo here we goooo... first trimester workouts with @bethefittest,' she wrote alongside the video.

'Trying to maintain fitness and strength during pregnancy by doing small modified workouts but often. Regular exercise throughout pregnancy has great benefits for both mother and child! Just listen to your body and don't over do it.'

However, some of her 1.1 million followers were quick to suggest that some of the moves she was performing were not suitable for a mum-to-be.

'Excellent keeping fit during your pregnancy, but please don't do burpees. It looks a little excessive. Only care and kindness meant,' one concerned fan wrote.

'I think it's great that you are still working out whilst pregnant, but you are not suppose to do hip thrusts as your pelvis should not he elevated above head level,' another added. 'It's dangerous for baby @binkyfelstead'.

'Just be careful. Please. I'm talking from experience unfortunately,' one warned. 'Wish you all the happiness and congratulations'.

Many of Binky's other comments were from supporters defending the 26-year-old: 'I doubt she'd be doing it if it was bad,' one wrote.

'Love this vid! It's surprising how many people question you or say that if they were pregnant they'd use it as an excuse not to exercise. I'm still at the gym at 27 weeks,' a second agreed.

'She isn't doing anything she hasn't done before. Medical profession only advise that you don't start doing an exercise you've never done before,' a third commented.

'If you've always run, keep running, if you've always swam, Keep swimming. Pregnancy is a condition not an illness. The fitter she is, the less complications she should have.'
