26-year old Australian Sophia - also known as The Young Mummy - shared the honest and hilarious blog post, titled 'Introducing Florence 'FLOSSY' Cachia' with her followers.
'Put a fork in me. I'm done. My pregnancy was one that felt like it went for eternity,' she writes in the honest account.
As a result, she admits that she was a 'crazy overdue pregnant woman' who was Googling EVERY possibly natural induction technique.
One of the most popular tips for inducing labour is to eat pineapple. 'I chopped and ate an ENTIRE pineapple,' she says. But when there was no change after that and having an oil infused bath she had to try the last resort - sex.
'...When you're an overdue sweaty walrus and you need this baby to come out, you do what you gotta' do,' she jokes. 'And when you're the husband of this highly hormonal overdue sweaty walrus, you do what you're told.'
'I instructed Jaryd to go into the bathroom for some alone time with himself and his... hand.'
The mum-of two told her 230k followers on Instagram that, after bursting into tears because she was still pregnant, it was at week 42 when this idea of having sex came to her.
'They say that sex brings on a baby, when in fact I learnt it's actually the semen itself that can have an impact,' she said.
She went on to explain: 'Semen contains natural prostaglandins which help to ripen, or soften, the cervix and cause it to open. Additionally, the hormone that causes contractions is oxytocin, which is the same hormone that is released during orgasm.'
'Sex was literally the last thing on my mind, so as I got in position on hands and knees, whilst eating an apple and watching Suits, Jaryd came from behind and did what he needed to do. Literally,' she wrote.
'NOW - call it a coincidence or absolute pure genius on my behalf, but at about midnight I started to have really light, irregular contractions.'
At first, Sophia said that didn't think much of it as it wasn't unusual for her to feel this overnight and in the morning - 'but when they were enough to wake me up again and again after I'd doze off for a bit, my mind starting ticking.'
And, it worked! Sophia gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who is now seven months old. At first the little girl was called Betty - but Ms Cachia later settled on the name Florence, or Flossy, for short.
