Laura and Jason Kenny announce the birth of their first child
We love the name!
Jason and Laura Kenny (nee Trott) have welcomed their first child together.
The couple revealed the lovely news with an adorable Instagram picture of them both posing with their newborn son, which Laura shared to her account and captioned: 'Welcome to the world little Albert Louie Kenny. 23/08/17 8lb 12.5oz 22.44 💙 You kept us waiting a week but it was all worth it 🐶🐶👶🏼'
Fans have rushed to shower the new parents with messages of congratulations, with one exclaiming: 'Born on my birthday. Great news! Congrats'.
'Glad everything went well. God bless,' another agreed, whilst a third wrote: 'Aah bless you all. Congratulations hope you all doing well. Love the name'.
Olympic cyclists Laura and Jason confirmed that they were expecting back in February with an announcement made of Valentine's Day. Sharing an image of two adult bicycles next to a cute children's bike, Laura added a simple heart emoji to her post.
Luke-Lloyd Davies, who represents the couple, subsequently released a statement about the Team GB member's pregnancy, which read: 'I can confirm that Laura Kenny is indeed pregnant and that she, Jason and their respective families are absolutely thrilled and delighted with the news.'
Speaking during an interview with GoodtoKnow in April, Laura said that she couldn't wait to become a mum.

'I'm just so excited about literally everything and anything, I've wanted it for ages,' she explained.
'Me and Jason had decided after the Olympics that we were going to start trying for a baby. I used to love my family life at home, and I want to bring a child into that sort of environment, because it was so nice for me growing up.'
'I've been quite lucky with the pregnancy. I have carried on exercising, tiredness was a symptom but because I always sleep anyway in the afternoon, that's just what you do as an athlete, I think that maybe masked it? I haven't had any morning sickness or cravings.'
