'Very, very happy' Prince Harry shares his joy after finding out that he is going to be an uncle again

His third niece or nephew is on the way!

Following the surprise announcement from Kensington Palace yesterday that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant with her third child, Prince Harry's sweet reaction to the wonderful news has been revealed.

Harry was in Manchester yesterday carrying out a series of official engagements and visits to organisations and projects that work to support sections of the city's community.

As he arrived at his first engagement of the day, a visit to the Walking With The Wounded training house, he was asked by waiting photographers and members of the press how he felt following the news that his brother and sister-in-law were expecting their third child.

'It's great, I am very, very happy for them,' Harry beamed. When asked how Kate was faring, following the news that she was suffering from acute morning sickness again, the 32-year-old responded: 'I haven't seen them for a while but I think she's okay.'

The Duchess of Cambridge was resting at home in Kensington Palace yesterday, after the return of severe morning sickness, diagnosed as Hyperemesis Gravidarum, reportedly forced the royal couple to reveal that Kate was expecting before she reached 12 weeks.

Kate's mum, Carole Middleton, was seen leaving Kensington Palace in her Land Rover yesterday after spending the day by her daughter's side.

Meanwhile, the rest of the royal family shared their reactions to the happy news, with the Queen reported to be 'delighted' with the news that she would have another great-grandchild joining the family. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were also thrilled to hear Kate and William's happy news: 'TRH are delighted with the news that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child,' their official Twitter account announced.

The news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to have a third baby comes after Kate joked during the couple's official tour of Poland and Germany that they would have 'more babies.'

Speculation that the royal couple were planning to extend their brood began after Kate was given a gift designed for newborns, prompting her to turn to William and say: 'We will just have to have more babies!'

The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to make her first appearance in public following the news of her pregnancy this week. Kate will go with Prince William to take Prince George to his first day of school on Thursday.
