Jordin Sparks reveals that she and husband Dana Ishia are expecting a baby boy

Singer Jordin Sparks has shared the happy news with her fans that she and husband Dana Ishia are expecting a son.

Taking to Instagram to make the exciting announcement, Jordin, 27, posted an image of herself and Dana posing with handfuls of shiny blue confetti as she cradles her growing bump.

'IT'S A BOY!!! We have so much to be thankful for and this is definitely at the top of the list!' the American Idol winner declared. '@_danaisaiah's gonna have a little mini me running around! We can't wait to meet him. We love you lil man! 💙💙💙💙'.


Her 1.4 million followers have rushed to congratulate Jordin on her bundle of joy, with one writing: 'Happy for you like you're one of my home girls, congrats!!'

'That kid's smile is gonna be insane. those genes, tho,' another exclaimed after seeing the snap of the couple.

'We're both really excited,' she told PEOPLE magazine at the time. 'We're really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this.'

Discussing the moment she found out that she was carrying the pair's first child, Jordin admitted: 'It was like such a shock for both of us, and then I started bawling in the closet.'

'They were shocked, scared and terrified tears, I'm going to be completely honest. I was just like, "Oh my gosh!"'

Jordin shot to fame on the US talent show American Idol at the age of just 17, and has had success with singles including No Air, Tattoo and Battlefield.

She and Dana began dating after meeting through mutual family friends and eloped in Hawaii in July of this year.

'It just more solidifies the whole team sentiment of a relationship,' she said of their wedding. 'You know you're still individuals, but at the same time everything is about "we" and "us" as opposed to "you" and "I."'
