Holly Willoughby makes surprising Strictly Come Dancing revelation on Loose Women

Turns out the TV presenter is a huge fan of the BBC series

Holly Willoughby has hinted that she would like to be a contestant on popular BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

While appearing as a guest on Loose Women, the TV star stated that she has no interest in competing on Dancing On Ice - despite being one of the show's hosts.

'It's too dangerous! Way too dangerous!', she told the panel. 'There's a lot of the show I don't watch, I have my eyes shut because I can't watch it!'

Phillip Schofield, who happily backed up his co-presenter's claims, joined Holly on the ITV lunchtime broadcast.

'Well when they fall down in training, they say "if you're down on the ice, fingers in" - because they are blades! They can take your fingers off', he joked.

Holly then surprised the audience by quipping that she quite fancies her chances on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing instead.

'I'm obsessed with Strictly, so I'd love to learn to dance', the 36-year-old said.

Unfortunately, Holly reckons her fear of performing before a film crew would hold her back.

She continued: 'I'd be embarrassed to do it on the telly, which would be a problem.'

After a three-year break, Dancing On Ice returned to TV screens at the weekend and Holly and Phillip, 55, resumed their hosting roles.

For the first episode of the show, Holly donned a show-stopping designer blue gown, which she also showed off on social media.

'Right, show ready! Thank you @suzanneneville for my dress of dreams... the glam squad for being amazing as always!!! @patsyoneillmakeup @cilerpeksah_hairstylist and @angiesmithstyle ... @dancingonice', she wrote on Instagram alongside a snap of her look. 'Here we go!!!!!! ❄❄❄❄'

The post was a huge hit with her followers, with one even comparing her to a Disney princess and old Hollywood film icon.

'Real life Frozen's Elsa meets Grace Kelly', one gushed.

Another added: 'This is the most amazing dress that I have seen you in, absolutely stunning!'
