The American TV star reveals his plans to wed Alexandra Silva by sharing a sweet post on Instagram
Vampire Diaries star Steven McQueen is engaged to be married to his girlfriend Alexandra Silva.
The actor decided to tell the world that he's officially off the market via Instagram yesterday.
'She said yes,' he sweetly said on the photo-sharing platform.
Proving just how smitten he is with his partner, the picture that he chose to upload alongside his statement shows the duo locking lips over a dinner table.
Thrilled by the news, fans typed out congratulatory messages in their hundreds.
'Congrats!!! I'm so happy for you both 😍 I wish you both a long and happy life together 😘,' said one.
Another added: 'Omggggg congratulations!!! 😍❤❤ wish u the best so happy for you ..God bless You.'

Steven's wife-to-be is Allie Silva, a professional model.
Re-posting the same image, the pretty blonde told her own followers: 'My best friend, love of my life…YES, yes yes a million times over 💍 @steven_r_mcqueen.'
It's thought that the loved-up pair have been in a relationship for over a year, with Steven making things Instagram official towards the end of 2016.
Steven and Alexandra are regularly snapped together, often while enjoying exotic trips.
In December last year, the 29-year-old American and Alexandra posed for a shot by a waterfall in Kauai, Hawaii.

Steven was named after his famous late grandfather, 60s and 70s icon Steve McQueen.
In a 2014 interview, he revealed that it was seeing his relative on-screen that made him want to pursue a career in the spotlight.
'I started watching movies my grandpa did, and I saw what an impact they made on the world,' he said in a 2014 interview.
'That's when I said, 'Hey, I want to do that too.'
