Billie Faiers reveals why she and fiancé Greg Shepherd chose the name Arthur for their baby boy

Reality star Billie Faiers has revealed the touching reason that she and fiancé Greg Shepherd have named their baby Arthur.

The former TOWIE star, who is already mum to daughter Nelly, almost two, confirmed the newborn’s arrival with a sweet black and white Instagram snap of Greg carrying the little one’s car seat back at the beginning of March.

‘Welcome to the world our beautiful baby boy 💙 we love you more then words can describe , you are truly perfect in every way … 07/03/17 👶🏼💙’ she wrote alongside, revealing her son’s birthday, but not yet his name.

However, now Billie has confirmed that Arthur is their baby name of choice, explaining to OK! magazine: ‘We named him after Greg’s grandad.’

‘I wanted to wait until he was born to choose the name, but Greg’s mind was made up and he would always call my bump baby Arthur.’

‘Of course Nelly picked up on it too, so after she got her mind set on it there was no changing it!’

Upon Arthur’s arrival, fans were quick to shower the couple with congratulations, with one exclaiming: ‘Ahaaw so excited huge congrats to you billie and Greg and big sister nelly 💕💙 xxxx’ and another adding: ‘Congratulations @billiefaiersofficial enjoy your little cub can’t wait to see more gorgeous pics of him’.

Billie announced that she was expecting again back in September 2016, sharing a picture of herself in a pink bikini with both Greg and Nelly, along with the caption: ‘And then there were four.’

In November, she told OK! magazine that a scan had shown that she was expecting a baby boy.

‘We’re in complete shock. Greg and I always thought we’d just have girls and everyone around us put that in our heads, too,’ she said to the mag at the time.

‘We couldn’t stop laughing during the scan, I said to the sonographer: “No! Are you sure? Can you check again?”‘

‘She checked a few times so it’s definitely a boy. We can’t stop smiling.’

Billie said to the title previously that this pregnancy had felt different to when she was carrying Nelly, explaining: ‘The first three months I didn’t get sickness but I felt sick at night, I’ve felt a bit different but I can’t put my finger on it and what it is.’

‘I had a really good pregnancy with Nelly and so far I’m having a really nice pregnancy as well, a lot of people will get really ill or really sick and they hate being pregnant but I actually really enjoy it.’
