Chris Evans announced as the latest star to take part in CBeebies bedtime stories series

Parents everywhere are rejoicing as Chris Evans has been announced as the latest star to take part in CBeebies bedtime stories series.
Chris, who has starred in Hollywood blockbusters such as Captain America, the Avengers and Fantastic Four said of his appointment: 'I'm honoured to be the next guest on CBeebies Bedtime Stories which is such a special show.'
'I hope families have as much fun watching as I had reading!'
The children's channel confirmed that Chris's episode of the hit series will air at 6:50pm on 10th May, although it has not yet been revealed which story he will be telling to the nation.

Fans were predictably thrilled with the choice, with over 800 comments quickly appearing on the Facebook post.
'You - you guys got Chris Evans???? Be still my beating heart!!!!' one thrilled follower wrote, whilst another added: 'First Tom, now Captain American 😍❤️ All I need is Thor to join in then I will be one happy woman!'

Others made suggestions about who they'd like to see in front of the infamous bookcase next, with one commenting: 'Tom hiddleston next please 😍 captain America will do for now though'.
Chris will follow in the steps of much loved storyteller Tom Hardy, who has caused several frenzies with his previous CBeebies bedtime story episodes, particularly when they aired on dates such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
Other celebs who've starred on the show include actresses Isla Fisher and Rosamund Pike, scientist Brian Cox, and Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, as well as Doctor Who star David Tennant.
