New dad Danny Jones reveals that his grandmother passed away

Danny Jones has revealed on social media that his grandmother has sadly passed away.

The new dad shared the sad news on Instagram, as he paid tribute to his nan Peggy.

Alongside a picture of his grandmother and his grandfather on their wedding day, Danny wrote: 'My nan has left us and gone to heaven. Say hello to grandad for me. RIP Nan.'

Danny's wife Georgia also took to social media to pay tribute to Danny's grandmother, writing on Instagram alongside a picture of their son Cooper and his great grandmother.

She wrote: 'After a day filled with lots of lovely Cooper cuddles our gorgeous Peggy sadly passed away. An amazing woman & the most wonderful Nan-in-law. You will be missed so very much ♥️'.

Fans of the McFly star were quick to send their love and support to the 32-year-old, with many commenting on the post.

One said: 'So sorry lots of love for youuuu and your family😢😢😢', while another wrote: 'So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this time.'

A third commented: 'So sorry for loss, I know what it's like to lose a grandparent, I've lost my gran 13 years ago and I was really heartbroken.💔💔 I understand what you're going through right now. My thoughts are with you.'

Responding to the photo Georgia posted of Cooper with his great grandmother, one added: 'What a beautiful photo @thegeorgiaedit @dannyjonesofficial so sorry for your loss. It looks like those cuddles were special.'

Danny also paid tribute to his grandfather a few months ago, posting a picture of them two on Instagram and writing: 'Happy Halloween everyone & Happy birthday to my grandad. I still miss your silliness and kindness. See you in another life my good friend.'

The sad news comes after Danny welcomed his first son, Cooper, with his wife Georgia. The pair became parents for the first time in January.
