'It's very exciting' Duchess of Cambridge Kate reveals what she's looking forward to this year with the royal family

Duchess of Cambridge Kate and the royal family have a big year ahead, but there's two events that Kate appears to be particularly looking forward to.

2018 is set to be a huge year for the royal family. The Duchess of Cambridge is currently expecting her third child, and is due to give birth in April this year, and Prince William’s cousin Zara Tindall is pregnant with her second child and is due at the end of the year. As well as the two new little arrivals, the royal family is also preparing the welcome an additional two new members to the family following the weddings of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle in May, and Princess Eugenie’s wedding to fiancé Jack Brooksbank in October.

With so much going on in 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have plenty to plan and look forward to, with Kate revealing during an official engagement yesterday what she is really excited about for the coming year.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is a Patron of UK charity Action on Addiction, was in Essex yesterday to officially open a new community-based treatment centre.

While chatting to the crowd in Essex who had turned out to see her, Kate was asked if she was looking forward to Prince Harry's wedding in May.

Responding to the question, Kate revealed that it’s not just Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding that she is particularly excited for this year.

'Yes and now we have two with Eugenie's' Kate replied. 'It's very exciting.'

Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will get married in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle – with Harry and Meghan set to tie the knot just one month after Kate gives birth to her third child.

The Duchess of Cambridge was glowing yesterday, seven months into her pregnancy, wearing a smart blue coat by designer brand Goat.
