Lost star Evangeline Lilly has given birth to her second child with her long-term partner Norman Kali.

The 35-year-old actress has not made a formal announcement about the happy arrival but let the cat out of the bag by appearing in a bikini on 21 October.

Evangeline's enviably flat stomach has given the game away that she and her partner Norman, whose romance began on the set of Lost where he was a production assistant, have welcomed their new baby.

It is the second child for The Hobbit star, who already has four-year-old son Kahekili - which means 'thunder' in Hawaiian, after a tropical storm inspired them during her pregnancy.

When Evangeline announced her second pregnancy, the Canadian actress said; 'We are the laziest parents ever... we're hopeful that mother nature would once again step in to offer [baby name] suggestions... because we still don't have any names for this child.'

The Golden Globe nominee spoke about her struggles being an older mother the second-time round; 'My first one, I was 30, now I'm 35. I'm much more tired this time.'

'The last time I was off work, I had no children, I had a partner who was busy working 18 hours a day, so I had all day to meditate and love on my baby and just be pregnant.'

Confirming many mother's fears about a work-life balance, Evangeline said; 'This time, I have a four year old I'm running around after, I'm working full time and I have a stay-at-home daddy so he's always around... I just haven't had the same kind of time to give this my attention.'

Despite her concerns, the bilingual mother added that she wants to keep extending her family; 'What I wanted originally was six kids, I frickin' love being pregnant. I'm one of the lucky women who just had a blissful pregnancy.'
