After 9 months of royal baby mania, the little royal arrival finally made an appearance on the 22 July 2013, and it's a baby boy!

The whole world waited with baited breath from the second it was announced Kate had gone into labour, and at 4:24pm the future heir to the throne was born.

Auckland, New Zealand, joined in the wait for the royal baby by lighting up famous landmarks in the city blue and pink, in anticipation of the royal birth. And when the news came through that Kate had had a baby boy, the city lit up their War Museum in a fitting shade of royal blue to celebrate.

These new parents, Marc and Beverley Miell, had a little boy within 10 minutes of the royal baby, at 4:34pm.

The couple received a silver penny for their little one as a lucky token for sharing his birthday with the future heir to the throne.
