Your pregnancy: 4 weeks

Your baby is now an embryo and is around 1mm long. The placenta is now beginning to form.

Your period would normally be due around now, so its non-appearance may be your first sign of pregnancy. You may also feel slight cramping or bleeding as the embryo attaches itself to the wall of your uterus.
If you haven't done already, make sure you're taking a daily folic acid supplement.
