Most children start school when they are 4, which is a big milestone for them and for you. Some children are very excited about going to school, but don't be surprised if your child is nervous. Just give them lots of reassurance and focus on how much fun they will have at school. Many children are keen to learn the basics of reading and writing before they start school, and there is a lot you can do at home to help.
