'Gutted' Davina McCall misses night out after split from Matthew Robinson

The former Big Brother host opens up about adjusting to life as a single woman

Davina McCall has spoken out about the realities of life as a newly single lady.

The TV presenter, who announced her separation from husband Matthew Robinson in November, admitted to struggling with social occasions during an interview.

'I got invited to see Craig David but no one would go with me and I was gutted', she told new! magazine.

Davina and Matthew were married for 17 years before they split and tied the knot at Eastor Castle in Hertfordshire.

Together, they are parents to daughters named Tilly and Holly and a son called Chester. It's thought that the family spent Christmas together, despite the separation.

Davina appears to be pouring her energies into exercise and has revealed that she's dropped a dress size in the last 12 months.

'I'm around 9st 10lbs and I'm in size 10 clothes, which is a size smaller than I was in last year, so it's great. I'm really, really happy', she gushed.

'I don't want to lose any more weight now, though. This is exactly where I want to be.'

Now she's feeling so good about herself, the former Big Brother host's revelation that she plans to keep fitness at the forefront of her mind in 2018 should hardly come as a surprise.

'Right... my goals in 2018 are all to qualify as fitness instructor ... I neeeed a qualification in that area after all this time #ownyourgoals', she wrote on Instagram, before asking: 'What are your fitness goals?'

'To get into a good routine and make exercise the norm,' one fan replied honestly.

Another added: 'Love that goal I reached my goal last year to qualify as a health coach this year I want to help people with their health journey and to get their lives back on track and be happy! Good Luck with the training.'
