Hugh Grant has welcomed the baby he was expecting with partner Anna Eberstein.
The lovely baby news were confirmed by his former partner, Elizabeth Hurley, when she let it split during an appearance on American talk show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last night.
After being asked if she was surprised by how many children Hugh has had, Elizabeth revealed: ‘Well he had another one last week. He has five. He was over 50 when he spawned them all.
The actress, who dated Hugh for 13 years before they separated in May 2000, also added that fatherhood has made him become a better person.
‘He’s actually an enchanting dad. Really, really sweet. Having these kids has actually transformed him from a very miserable person into a fairly miserable person. It’s an improvement – he’s gone up the scale’, she said.
The news that Hugh was expecting a baby with his partner, Anna Eberstein, were confirmed in January by his mother-in-law.
Hugh and Anna, who just welcomed their third child together
Anna’s mum, Swedish politician Susanne Eberstein, spoke to Swedish newspaper Astonbladet at the time and said: ‘I’m very happy to be getting another grandchild. She’s due rather soon.’
This is the couple’s third child together – they already share a son, John Mungo, who they welcomed in September 2012, and another child who they welcomed in December 2015.
The pair, who like to keep their personal life away from the spotlight, never revealed if their second child is a boy or a girl.
The Notting Hill star also has two other children from his previous relationship with Tinglan Hong – daughter Tabitha, born in 2011, and son Felix, who they welcomed in 2012.
He’s previously spoken about fatherhood on the Ellen DeGeneres show back in 2012, when he revealed having kids changed his life.
‘Everyone was right all these years, saying, “Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life”‘ he said.
‘Now that I have a child, it is life changing. I recommend it. Get some!’
Congratulations to the lovely family!
