'It's going to happen' Jeff Brazier reveals plans to marry and have children with girlfriend Kate
'It'll be like putting things on track, being a real human being who is married and has a child with someone that he loves and stays with'
Father of two Jeff Brazier has discussed his plans to marry and have children with his long-term girlfriend Kate Dwyer.
Eight years after the death of Jade Goody, the mother of his sons Bobby Jack and Freddie, Jeff has finally hinted at plans to pop the question to Kate, who he's been dating since 2014.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: 'We've discussed it, it's going to happen. I think we're working our way to it.'
'It'll be like putting things on track, being a real human being who is married and has a child with someone that he loves and stays with. Not that I didn't love Jade, but to be with someone where the relationship blossoms and goes from strength to strength... it's what we all try to create.'
Jeff had previously expressed reservations about marriage, but says that he has changed his mind now that he's found love with Kate.
'Sometimes that doesn't feel realistic to people, for many years it didn't feel realistic to me,' he said. 'When I was growing up marriage looked a bit rubbish, people didn't always treat each other particularly well, and it made me think I was better off going solo.'
'It'll be fantastic for me too, I'll get to experience parenting within a relationship and actually be married, because I haven't experienced that – not even as a child.'

'Here I am in a really lovely relationship with a really lovely person who gets on well with my children, and we've really worked hard for it, and I think we're going to start getting all the rewards that we deserve.'
He even spoken of plans to expand his family, adding: 'What's going to be exciting to me is seeing the kids as older brothers, they'll be incredible. And it'll teach them about other responsibilities for them.'
Kate, who lives in the family home with Jeff and the kids, has previously admitted that she sometimes struggles with raising someone else's children, but the little things make it all worthwhile.
Sharing a drawing last year that youngest son Freddie drew of her and Jeff dressed as superheroes, she wrote, 'I would be lying if I said that there isn't occasions when living full time with someone else's (teenage!) children is both challenging and overwhelming. But then one of them does something like this and it all makes sense.'
