'Don't tell me she dyed her hair' Jessica Simpson criticised over latest snap of daughter Maxwell
Jessica Simpson is the latest celeb to be ‘mummy shamed’
Singer Jessica Simpson received serious backlash from fans after posting an adorable snap of her family dressed up for Halloween.
In the fun photo, the 37-year old singer and actress is dressed up as country singer Willie Nelson, husband Eric Johnson is musician Waylon Jennings, son Ace is a mini cowboy and daughter Maxwell is Belle from Beauty and the Beast. The mum-of-two captioned it with: 'Willie, Waylon, Belle and Cowboy Ace #Halloween2017'
But fter posting the family picture, many of Jessica's 4million followers noticed that her daughter Maxwell looked very different.
Jessica's daughter, Max, typically has very blond hair, like her mum, but it's obvious she's rocking a much darker 'do as Belle for Halloween - and people were very quick to ask if Jessica had dyed her daughter's hair.
'Did you colour Maxi's hair?' asked one follower.
'Is Maxwell's hair dyed?' questioned another/ 'I hope not her blonde hair was so beautiful!!! Hopefully just temp wash out color.'
This fan used crying emojis to highlight her opinion: 'Did you dye her beautiful blonde hair @jessicasimpson 😭😭😭 or spray color.'

However, there were a few fans who came to the star's defence: 'I dyed my daughter daughters hair for Halloween blue and purple what's the issue it's hair it grows. Yes it was wash out hair dye buy. Honestly it's her kids who cares.'
'Max looks so different with brown hair. She is just absolutely gorgeous.Love it!' another fan, followed by one who agreed: 'It's hair, it's not like she got her a damn tattoo.'
This isn't the first time Jessica has been faced with controversy for her parenting decisions.
In July this year the star received backlash for her daughter Maxwell's posing skills – after posting a picture of the five-year-old with her hand on her hips and pouting. What do you think? Is dying a five-year-old's hair for dress up taking it a little bit too far, or would you do the same? Let us know in the comments box below.
