BREAKING NEWS: Kate Middleton gives birth to a baby girl!

It's official, Kate Middleton has given birth to her second child, a baby girl!

The baby girl was born at 8.34am on 2 May 2015 in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's hospital, Paddington, London, weighing 8lbs 3oz. 

Both Kate and her daughter are said to be doing well, and the official statements released by the palace on Twitter read:

Prince William was with Kate thoughout the birth, and now the question is when the royal couple will emerge on the steps of the hospital to present their newborn to the world.

Kate gave birth at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's hospital in London today, where the world's media await the first glimpse of her newborn baby girl.

The new addition to the family was delivered at the same hopital as Prince George in 2013, Prince Harry in 1984, and dad Prince William in 1982.

Kate travelled to the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's hospital by car with her husband and was admitted at 6am on 2 May 2015 in the early stages of labour.

The official statement released by Kensington Palace read:

'HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour'

Kate and Wills have become parents for the second time.

The baby girl is fourth in line to the throne, behind grandfather, Prince Charles, father, Prince William and big brother, Prince George. And their official title? The Princess of Cambridge.

The Royal Mint announced earlier this year that it will be giving out special, silver, engraved coins to 2,015 babies who share the same birthday as the fourth-in-line to the throne.
