Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West have announced that they've welcomed their third child.

The now mum-of-three took to social media to share the lovely baby news with fans, writing on Twitter: 'She's here', with a link to a blog post in her website.

According to the short announcement, Kim and Kanye's third baby - their second baby girl - was born on January 15, at 12:47am, weighing 7lbs 6oz.

The statement read: 'Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.

The couple went on to thank their surrogate, who carried their baby as Kim was unable to for health reasons.

'We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister', Kim said in the blog post.

Fans were quick to congratulate the couple on their new arrival, commenting on the post to send their well-wishes.

One wrote: 'Congratulations gorgeouuusss 😍😍😍', and a second added: 'Congratulations! Enjoy every second of this special time 💋💜'.

Speculation around what baby name Kim will pick for her baby girl has already started, and fans cannot wait to find out what moniker the pair choose this time.

Clearly excited to welcome another baby into her brood, the mum took to social media again a few hours later to share a picture of herself and captioned it '#momofthree'.

The happy announcement comes a few weeks after Kim's sister Khloé confirmed that she was also expecting a baby.

It will be the first child for the youngest of the Kardashian daughters, who is expecting a bundle of joy with her partner Tristan Thompson.
