Lauren Conrad has revealed she's expecting a baby boy with husband William Tell, after announcing she was pregnant on New Year's Day.

The mum-to-be, who's known for her time on hit reality television shows The Hills and Laguna Beach, and is now a fashion designer, blogger and bestselling author, took to social media to reveal the happy news to fans.

Sharing a picture of a retro birth announcement featuring an illustration of a little boy in a car, Lauren wrote: 'I found this adorable birth announcement while helping my Grandma move and I thought it was the perfect way to share that William and I are expecting a baby boy 👶🏼!'

Lauren, 30, married William, 36, in 2014. They were set up on a blind date by mutual friends on Valentine's Day in 2012, and married in a Californian winery two years later.

William, a musician who was formerly part of the band Something Corporate, has known Lauren since she was a teenager.

'I met my husband when I was 16 and sitting on stage at one of his concerts,' Lauren wrote on her blog.

'10 years later we were set up on a blind date.'

She also wrote about married life on her blog, and how she is excited to grow older with her husband.

'My favorite thing about being married is knowing that I have a partner in life that I get to do so many wonderful things with,' she wrote.

'Dreaming of the things we will do 20 years from now is so fun,' she added.

Lauren had previously written about her and her husband's plans for children in a blog post back in 2015, in response to a question about how many kids she wanted.

'Maybe two,' she replied. 'That way we aren't outnumbered.'

Congratulations to the lovely couple!
