A mum and plus-size model has taken to Instagram to share an important message with her followers after feeling that 'fat women and moms are robbed of their sexuality'.
Tess Holliday, a plus-size model from America, has reminded other mums that they 'deserve to feel sexy' after posting an empowering message to Instagram.
The mother-of-two opened up about how becoming a mother can effect how you feel in your body, admitting that she needed a 'gentle reminder to myself that as a mom, I deserve to feel sexy & desired'.
Tess continued to tell women to take control of feeling attractive, saying, 'I deserve to feel sexy & desired. Fat women & moms are robbed of our sexuality so I'm here to tell you to stop that sh*t. Ok? 💯😉'
Alongside her caption Tess posted a black and white snap of herself lying in bed wrapped in a bed sheet looking up into the camera.
Many of Tess's 1.4 million followers responded with overwhelming positivity to the post, which has received over 37k likes in under a day.
One Instagram user commented on the pic, sharing her own personal struggle in becoming a mum, 'Ugh thank you!! I've been struggling with this very thing lately! My little porkchop is 6 months and I love her dearly but I've been so hard on myself not being back to what I was before. You are a god send @tessholliday , thank you! 💕'.
Another social media user referred to their 'mamma mojo' and thanked Tess for encouraging them to get it back, 'Thanks! Really needed to hear this today, I haven't felt the same confidence in myself and body since my son 9 months ago and I tell myself one day I'll get my mama mojo back'.
