Prince William reveals the real reason he’s happy about ‘scrounging’ brother Harry’s engagement

Prince William has spoken out for the first time about Prince Harry’s engagement, revealing the real reason he’s happy that his brother is finally tying the knot.

The father-of-two is currently on an official trip to Finland, where he finally opened up about the happy news of Prince Harry’s engagement.

But as well as saying that it’s a happy time for the couple and wishing them happiness, William revealed another reason why his brother’s engagement is good news.

Turns out all these years since William and Kate got married, in 2011, Harry has been ‘scrounging’ the Cambridges’ food, which Wills is not a fan of.

Now that his younger brother is finally tying the knot, William seems relieved that he will be turning to his own fridge, which he will share with wife Meghan, for leftovers.

Speaking in Finland, he joked: ‘And for me personally I hope it means he stays out of my fridge, it will stop him scrounging off all my food, he’s done over the last few years.’

He added: ‘Delighted for them both and wishing them all the happiness in this very exciting time.

‘It’s a fantastic process you go through, the engagement and the build up to the wedding and things like that.

‘So they’ve got a lot of happy times ahead of them and I think they’re very caught up in the moment and I wish them all the happiness and success in planning the wedding, I hope it goes really well.’

By the sounds of it, William won’t have to worry about keeping his brother fed, as Meghan and Harry seem to enjoy being in the kitchen.

The two revealed during their engagement interview that Harry proposed while they were having a cosy night in, cooking a roast chicken.

‘It was just a cosy night, we were roasting chicken,’ Meghan said. ‘It was just an amazing surprise…it was so sweet, so romantic…he got down on one knee.’

So maybe now the tables will turns and Harry will invite William over to scrounge off his food? The Cambridges may well be too busy to cook very soon anyway when the baby comes…
