British musician Example (real name Elliot Gleave) has announced on social media that he is expecting his second child with wife Erin McNaught.
The announcement, which was initially made on Instagram but shared on Twitter too, has come as quite the surprise to fans of the couple, who have generally kept a low profile as a family unit.
The news was shared with a subtle black and white photograph of Erin, standing side on to show off her little bump.
A smitten Example wrote alongside the picture, ‘How about this for some good news… we’ve got No.2 on the way and it’s another little boy @Erin_McNaught.’
Despite their initial shock, fans were quick to congratulate the growing family.
‘Awww! Congratulations! We will have mini example 2!’ wrote one overjoyed Instagram commenter.
‘Congrats!! I can’t think of better parents than the two of you! Mwuahhhhhhhhhhh to all four of you!!!’ wrote another.
And over on Twitter, the well-wishes kept on coming, with one fan saying, ‘congrats bruvva, lovely news!!! Two boys are a handful but so much fun… big up.’
When first son Evander was born at Christmas 2014, the proud parents celebrated by sharing an adorable picture of Example in the shower, cradling his newborn son.
New mum Erin captioned the sweet snap, ‘I think my heart is about to burst’, whilst Example wrote alongside his version, ‘Our son Evander Maxwell Gleave was born at 2.06am 21.12.14 (Australia time). Mother and child are both gorgeous.’
After meeting in 2011 when model Erin interviewed him for MTV Australia, the couple enjoyed their first date in Huddersfield (he was playing a gig there), and tied the knot in front of 70 guests in Australia in 2013.
‘I knew pretty early on I wanted to be with her forever,’ he said previously of their happy marriage. ‘I insisted on giving her the password to my phone, so she knows I have nothing to hide. It was the best thing I ever did.’
