Sam Faiers reveals why she hasn’t announced her baby girl’s name yet

Sam Faiers has revealed to fans on social media the real reason she hasn’t announced her baby girl’s name yet.

It’s been a couple of weeks since Sam Faiers welcomed her second child, but the mum is yet to reveal what baby name she and partner Paul have picked for their new bundle of joy.

Fans have been wondering why the Mummy Diaries star is keeping her baby girl’s name under wraps for so long, but now she’s finally revealed the reason.

After being asked by one of her 1.9m followers ‘why all the secrecy’ in the comments section under one of her snaps, Sam said: ‘there is no secrecy, we just haven’t named her yet’.

Many others parents could related with Sam’s baby name dilemma, as they took to the comments section to say they too took weeks to pick their baby’s names.

One wrote: ‘Taking time with her name is lovely @samanthafaiers . We chose outside the registry office at the last second 💜’

Another said: ‘We didn’t name our daughter for 2 weeks so don’t worry about it , it’s a big decision 🎀 she’s ur double x’

While some criticised other fans for wanting to her to reveal the name: ‘don’t forget to inform the general public asap – they clearly have a right to know 🤣🤣 these people crack me up!’

While there’s clearly a lot of curiosity surrounding the baby name that Sam will pick for Paul’s little sister, legally the now mum-of-two still has some time to make her decision.

According to the law, all births in England, Wales and Northern Ireland must be registered within 42 days of the child being born.

Given that she gave birth on 11th November, Sam and Paul have until 23rd December to pick a name for their little girl.

Last week, before Sam revealed they actually haven’t settled on a name yet, fans seemed to think they’d guessed the moniker.

Because the little girl was born on Remembrance Day, many commented on one her pictures on Instagram to guess Sam was going to call her Poppy, as it also goes with her brother’s name, Paul.

‘100% gonna call her Poppy. Goes with Paul and her bday,’ said one fan, confidently, whilst this follower agreed: ‘poppy would suit her as she was born on remembrance day,’ one wrote.
